Follow this simple recipe for a rich and flavorful egg-ish Breakfast staple.
This is the recipe I use in my kitchen where I have repeat customers who enjoy on a regular basis.
1 lb Tofu
Crumble to bit size pieces Crumble Tofu and brown in 1 or 2 tbsp of oil of your choice till lightly browned. If you like your tofu crispier and more brown that is okay as well.
Combine the following and allow to sit while your tofu browns.
2 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast - for texture and more nutrition. Add more if you want.
2 Tbsp Tahini
2 or 3 Tbsp Tofu Scramble Spice Blend
1/2 C Milk of your choice.
I prefer Oat Milk when I make this. This mixture will thicken up as your tofu cooks.
When the tofu reaches the crispness you prefer then add this mixture to the tofu and stiff until well blended. Turn off heat and let rest for 5 minutes or more. I let mine rest in a warmer or in the pan on low low heat until ready to serve. This allows the seasonings to soak into the tofu more completely.
